URGENT! Help with layers in GIMP?
I can not afford Photoshop and I have to add spot color comic style below a line drawing, FAST. I still end up covering the working line, or color with a layer disppears when merging layers. All I want to be able to do is take the line of work Merge down and overlay color. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I think I understand your question, but I am not sure. If my answer does not, maybe you can add more information to clarify what you need help. I'll check again. But anyway … Ensure you have the alpha channel enabled. I think it's under layers-> Transparency. You will then need to do some work eraser to layer line of work to eliminate overlapping pixels. You can speed up that process by selecting areas of that layer and use Ctrl + K or Delete to clear. Then use the eraser brush to clean edges.
